SCRIPTURE STUDY JOHN 1:10-12 MAN RECIEVES HIS SIGHT

SCRIPTURE STUDY JOHN 1:10-12 MAN RECIEVES HIS SIGHT John1:10-12 New International Version 1984 10He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. What would it be like if the eyes of the blind could see the true light of this world? Would they see through their eyes or their heart? I have a few friends that are legally blind. They are one of the best friends that I have, as they see not with their eyes but their hearts at the inside of the individual, not at their physical appearance. This, I believe, is how the Lord wishes us to see. John1:10-12 King James Version 10He was in the world and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. He was the creator of the world. Could you imagine a potter holding the clay before he molds it into his creation? What a great feeling to have felt knowing, out of that tiny, muddy looking substance a “Thinker” could first be formed, before it became the “Thinker” we know today. John 1:10-12 Geneva Study Bible 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. The person of the Word was made manifest even at that time when the world was made. 11He came unto his own, and his own received him not. The Word showed himself again when he came in the flesh. 12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: The Son being shut out by the majority of his people, and acknowledged but by a few, regenerates those few by his own strength and power, and receives them into that honor which is common to all the children of God, that is, to be the sons of God. He condescended to give them this power to take them to be his children. He is the potter, we are the clay. He molded the whole world with his very hands. What a feeling of majesty and splendor. The majestic beauty of all creation, sinless when first made. The garden of paradise was just waiting for us. Mary C. SCRIPTURE STUDY JOHN 1:7-9 THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD BECAME KNOWN

SCRIPTURE STUDY JOHN 1:7-9 THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD BECAME KNOWN John1:7-9 New International Version 7He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. 8He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. 9The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world John came to testify to the light. Who was the true light he came to witness to? John1:7-9 King James Version 7The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light that all men through him might believe. 8He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. Who came to bear witness to the Light? Who are we to believe in? John1:7-9 Geneva Study Bible 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light that all men through him might believe. Through John. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That light which we spoke of, that is, Christ, who alone can enlighten our darkness. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. When the Son of God saw that men did not acknowledge him by his works, although they were endued with understanding Which he had given to all of them), he exhibited himself unto his people to be seen by them with their physical eyes: yet not even then did they acknowledge him or receive him. Who alone and properly deserves to be called the light, for he shines by his own accord and borrows light from no one. MY CONCLUSION John came to bear witness to the truth. The truth is the Light. The true Light is Christ Jesus himself. Christ alone is the only one that can enlighten our darkness. Mary C.
